Zach Couch, Dallas Physical Therapy

Zach Couch, PT, OCS, FAAOMPT                            

Zach grew up in Dallas, TX attending Jesuit High School. He received his undergraduate degree and Master’s degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Evansville (IN) in 2002. Since graduating, Zach has been acknowledged as an Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) by the American Physical Therapy Association. In addition, Zach has completed a Fellowship in Manual Therapy and is recognized as a Fellow in the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapists (FAAOMPT). Zach currently serves as Adjunct Faculty for the Texas Women’s University – Doctor of Physical Therapy Program.

Zach is passionate about helping people in pain and is a recognized expert in Manipulative Therapy, Dry Needling, and Pain Science interventions. Zach has lectured nationally on the topics of dry needling and manual therapy; and he recently published a research study titled “Short-term effects of two deep dry needling techniques on pressure pain thresholds and electromyographic amplitude of the lumbosacral multifidus in patients with low back pain - a randomized clinical trial” which can be found in the Journal of Manual & Manipulative Therapy, January 2021.

After 20 years of experience in treating people of all ages, including professional athletes of the NBA and NFL, Zach believes the best outcomes are achieved when you combine evidence-based treatments in a caring environment. With these philosophies in mind, Zach strives to create a therapeutic alliance between patient and therapist and the results can be life changing.
